Walthers Mainline 910-9773 HO EMD SD60 - Soo Line #6052

Strengthen your HO freight power with the Walthers Mainline 910-9773, an EMD SD60 modeled with the early-production Spartan (standard) cab and decorated for Soo Line #6052. These six-axle haulers entered service in 1984, and many are still hard at work in main line and regional service for their original owners and shortlines. This version is set up as a standard DC locomotive.

The 910-9773 shares the same drive found in Walthers Proto locomotives, with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, 14:1 helical gears, dual machined-brass flywheels, all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, and a heavy die-cast metal chassis. A 21-pin DCC interface makes conversion easy, and a factory-installed ESU sound version is offered separately. Details include open grating on the steps, constant and directional LED headlights, molded starter points for grab irons (EMD SD50/60 Diesel Detail Kit #910-256 sold separately), RP-25 metal wheels, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers.
