Walthers Mainline 910-56875 HO 50' RD-4 Hopper 3-Pack IESX

The Walthers Mainline 910-56875 is an HO scale set of three 50' RD-4 Hoppers, ready to run in Alliant Energy IESX reporting marks numbered #1007, 1038 and 1061. Introduced in the 1990s, the RD-4 prototype pairs rotary couplers with rapid-discharge bottom gates for quick dumping at a power plant, and the cars also turn up hauling scrap and other bulk commodities. Each car carries a detailed body with separately applied door mechanisms, brake gear and interior bracing.

Every car in item 910-56875 rides on a heavy die-cast metal underframe for steady running and includes 33" RP-25 turned metal wheelsets. The two outer cars are equipped with a Proto MAX metal knuckle coupler on the exposed end, while dummy knuckle couplers connect the cars within the set. This three-pack gives you a matched string with three different, limited-run numbers, an easy way to start a unit coal train or expand an existing fleet.
