Walthers Mainline 910-41316 HO 40' Wood Reefer - Libby LMLX #1680

This Walthers Mainline HO scale 40' wood reefer with steel ends recreates the wood ice bunker refrigerator cars that railroads built through the 1930s and 1940s. Prized for their strong insulation and resistance to corrosion, cars of this type stayed in revenue service all the way into the 1970s, making them a natural fit for steam, transition, and early diesel era freight trains. Item 910-41316 wears the Libby LMLX scheme as #1680, letting you drop an authentic reefer straight onto your layout with no assembly required.

The model captures the correct lower carbody height along with wood sides, narrow doors, and crisp hinge and latch detail, paired with realistically rendered Dreadnaught corrugated steel ends. Underneath you will find finely detailed AB brake gear, while correct RP-25 turned metal wheels and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers let 910-41316 roll and couple reliably right out of the box.
