Walthers Mainline 910-19765 HO EMD SD60 Sound/DCC CITX #6004

Add modern muscle to your HO freight roster with the Walthers Mainline 910-19765, an EMD SD60 lettered for CITX and numbered 6004. Modeled on early production units with the standard EMD Spartan cab, these six-axle road units remain in service for original owners and short lines. The 910-19765 ships ready to run with factory-installed ESU sound for use on both DCC and DC layouts.

The drive on this SD60 mirrors the mechanism used in Walthers Proto locomotives, combining a 5-pole skew-wound motor with a 14:1 gear ratio and helical-cut gears for quiet operation and smooth multiple-unit running. All-wheel drive and electrical pickup, dual machined brass flywheels, and a heavy die-cast metal chassis provide the weight and reliability, while a 21-pin DCC interface eases future decoder changes. Sound features on the 910-19765 include the full 8-notch 710 prime mover and compressor effects, with constant and directional LED headlights. Molded drill starter points are provided for grab irons using the EMD SD50/60 Diesel Detail Kit (910-256), sold separately, and the model rides on RP-25 metal wheels with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers.
