The model carries numerous molded and separately applied details, including lights, windshield wipers, handrails, horn, vents, fans, bumpers, and an exhaust stack. It is decoder and sound ready: pair a Piko 36224 sound kit with a Piko 36122 loco decoder. It runs on analog DC, but sound works only on digital DCC. The 37550 rides on heavy-duty ball-bearing wheels with hook-and-loop couplers, is 370mm (14.6 in) long, needs a minimum radius of 600mm (23.6 in), and is made in Germany.
