Woodland Scenics 73 All Scale Fine Ballast Buff, 12oz (340g), models light tan/buff ballast representing crushed limestone, common on many North American railroads. The fine particle grade is recommended for N scale and TT scale track, producing the most prototype-accurate appearance at that scale. Woodland Scenics Ballast is not real stone - it is a specially manufactured material that accepts Earth Colors Liquid Pigment for weathering and additional colour variation, and adheres securely with Scenic Cement. Apply alongside the track, mist with diluted isopropyl alcohol (wet water) to break surface tension, then fix in place with diluted Scenic Cement.
