Kadee 746 O Type E Long Centerset Metal Couplers Plastic Box

The Kadee 746 is an O-Scale New Generation AAR Type "E" "Prototype" head metal coupler in a long centerset shank, supplied in black. This industry-leading Magne-Matic coupler features a hidden knuckle spring and a simple drop-in design, and it is compatible with other Kadee O-Scale couplers. The longer shank of the #746 helps space couplers out on longer cars or where extra reach is needed.

The #746 comes complete with plastic gearboxes and lids and uses the #850 O-Scale centering spring. It may be mounted in the included #817 plastic gearbox or in the separately sold #818 metal or #819 extended metal gearboxes. The long shank measures 63/64" from the knuckle pulling face to the gearbox center hole with a centerset offset, and the #817 plastic gearbox measures 25/32"L x 1/2"W x 7/32"H. Two pair come per package, made in the U.S.A. Mounting height is 25/32", centerline 1 1/16", and trip pin height 1/16", with 2-56 insulated screws most commonly used.
