The Kadee 1789 is a #1 Scale centerset coupler set supplied with truck mount type gearboxes, using an extended short, narrow draft gear box for body mounting. As a Magne-Matic knuckle coupler, it delivers the reliable magnetic uncoupling and prototype knuckle action that large scale operators depend on, packaged as one complete pair ready to install. The centerset shank places the coupler on the car's centerline, making the 1789 a versatile choice for a wide range of #1 Scale equipment.

Each 1789 package contains 2 couplers, 2 draft gear boxes, and 2 draft gear box lids, along with the springs and hardware needed to mount them. Kadee includes #861 centering springs and either a #860 G-Scale or #1875 1-Scale knuckle spring, plus #4 x 1/2" screws, #4 x 3/4" screws, and #2 x 3/8" screws for mounting flexibility. White plastic.010" shims are also provided to help you dial in the correct coupler height.
